Knowing it all….

May 12th, 2008

When I was sixteen, I knew everything worth knowing, I understood everything worth understanding and I was sure that I knew exactly where I was going. I had it all figured out.

Now here I am 40 years later and I still think I know it all, have it all figured out and know exactly where I’m going.

The only difference is I’m now aware that 99% of what I “know” is probably wrong.

The Facebook Project

May 11th, 2008

I was digging around in my closet and ran into all kinds of pictures in boxes.

I decided to Face Book all of them for a permanent (maybe?) online record.

Started with pictures from my 1975 trip to Jamaica. Flashback!

The Skunk Tragedy

May 7th, 2008

A skunk got hit by a car in front of my workplace today and he crawled into the bushes next to our side door. It was so sad. He lay there shivering and just looked so pathetic that it broke my heart.

We called the animal control people and they came and got him an hour or so later.

I don’t want to die.

Chronic Pain

May 5th, 2008

The pain in my shoulder isn’t getting any better and dealing with the chronic pain is really wearing me down.

I’m reluctant to see my general practitioner because I don’t think he’s going to be much help, but it’s getting to the point where I need to do *something*

Sigh… it’s hell getting old.
