TDC Day Twenty Seven

October 18th, 2008

Find More Keywords – Now that we have a blog optimized for a keyword phrase, it’s time to add more keywords and get more rankings and get more traffic. It’s all about keywords and traffic because traffic = money!

What I’ve discovered on my own is that you can use the Google Webmaster Tools to find new keywords and then run them through Market Samurai to analyze the SEO traffic and even more related keywords.

Unfortunately, this video is not currently available on YouTube, but you will be able to find it on the Thirty Day Challenge site.

The second video for the day is Ed telling us how to correctly use the Automated Posting function of WordPress Direct to flesh out our blogs. Very cool feature that I’m going to have to play with and explore the possibilities.

TDC Day Twenty Six

October 18th, 2008

Today’s video is about monetizing our blogs using Adsense. This is definitely something I’m going to do for all my blogs (except this one) inthe near future. However, they all need reworking given what I’ve learned this time around so I’ll be doing that first and then I’ll add the Adsense campaigns.

TDC Day Twenty Five

October 16th, 2008

Today’s video is about deciding if your project is worth continuing or whether it is time to move on. I think for my Seized Car Police Auctions site, making the first page of Google for a broad match is going to be a lot of work, so I’m going to put that site on the back burner for a while and work on my other sites given my new knowledge and also make decisions about them. Any site that isn’t performing as I’d like is going to be sold at sitepoint.

I like the Oprah test and I’m going to remember it.

I also like his point of view about keyword phrases.

Made My First Dollar!!

October 12th, 2008

In fact, I made $98.70! Woo Hoo! All from today – basically since I started Adwords! I spent $60 on adwords so I made a profit today of $38.70. Very cool. And I can see how to do better and make this pay even better. I am stoked and the Thirty Day Challenge definitely works!

And I have to admit, it’s way more fun when you start making money!

Seasonal Touchstones

October 12th, 2008

Last night was the first night I spent under the covers all night this season and today was the first morning that I put on sweats instead of shorts in the morning.

Just one of the small things I notice as the seasons change.

TDC Day Twenty Four

October 12th, 2008

I think I’m hitting the wall for training in one day. I have, however, done a ton of work this weekend and I feel good about that. I stared the Thirty Day Callenge nineteen days ago so even with a few days off, I’m ahead of schedule. Cool!

There’s no video today, just a .pdf about writing copy. Log in to the Thirty Day Challenge for a copy.

TDC Day Twenty Three

Powering forward today!

Today’s video is a preview of WordpressDirect feature that we’re told we should wait to use. I watched the video and I must say I’m psyched to see when Ed thinks we should use it.

Now that I’ve been creating content for my keyword phrase for a few days now, I made a new post that I set as the sticky for site.

TDC Day Twenty Two

October 12th, 2008

Today we have the ever delightful Caro teaching us how to manage our Pay Per Click campaigns.

I’m new to this whole thing, really, but I’ve been into it long enough to say that this year’s Thirty Day Challenge is without question the sort of in-depth real-deal training that other guys are selling for big bucks. That’s the simple truth. If you’re interested in internet marketing and you’re not doing the Thirty Day Challenge, then you are nuts!

I’ll be doing a review of my pay-per-click campaigns late tonight. To be any good at internet marketing, you have to be good at Adwords.

TDC Day Twenty One

October 12th, 2008

Today is more information about Adwords and I’m ready!

In the first video, GuruBob shows us how to use Market Samurai to find keyword phrases related to our chosen phrase and us them for the basis of more Adwords campaigns. I’ve done the analysis, now I’m going to watch the second video before creating a new campaign. It’s interesting to see how my actual daily numbers are somewhat better than what Market Samurai would predict. Which is good. But one day isn’t much to go on.

Here’s GuruBob:

In the second video for today, Caro shows us how to make more ads and split test variations. I decided to make a post that was optimized for the keywords “public auto auction” for my new campaign and I’m now doing split tests on both campaigns.

Pressing on!

Today’s video is about setting up a Google Adwords campaign, which is something I’ve done before. Having another go at it. In fact, I set up my test campaign last night before going to bed and I’m going to check it now.

Well the numbers are interesting, indeed. I’ve had 1,823 impressions and 41 clicks for a CTR of 2.25% which is good. I’m going to let it run the rest of today and then evaluate.

Here’s Caro with today’s video:
